Account Manager Electronics (m/f/d)

Summary

The Account Manger Electronics focuses on enhancing HMI's market standing in Design & Engineering, Production SW, and Metrology/NDE within the Electronics Industry in EMEA. Responsibilities include shaping short- to mid-term commercial strategic goals, strengthening crucial customer relationships, and staying well-informed about prevailing market conditions. Collaborating with the field sales organization, you identify business opportunities and formulate tactical plans to capture these prospects.
Your role involves collaborating with sales teams, marketing personnel, and other stakeholders to enhance sales opportunities within the Electronics/Semiconductor industry. You will frequently be tasked with delivering presentations on HMI solutions and services that address the current and future needs of customers in your market segment. Reporting directly to the Director of Business Development GEO EMEA, the Account Manager Electronics will present short- and mid-term sales and business development objectives to executives, and relevant stakeholders. This role involves proposing regional business plans and ensuring their execution.
 

Job Responsibilities

  • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
  • As the subject matter expert, propose business development and specific account objectives, business plans and new business models with a focus on ONE MI.
  • Facilitate the GEO EMEA Semicon strategy within the GTM Team, develop recommendations and translate them into actionable activities for the sales channels and execute them.
  • Represent the GEO EMEA within the different BU’s/Cross BU to align on the GEO EMEA Objectives for your subject matter expertise.
  • Provide reviews of your business activities and achievements via Monthly Business Reviews (MBR’s)
  • Work closely with the Enterprise Account team to share information on success and learnings. 
  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, customer needs, competitors, and potential business opportunities within the target industries.
  • Partnership Development: Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, distributors, and customers to support product entry and expansion.
  • Sales Growth: Drive sales by identifying new business opportunities, negotiating contracts, and working closely with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of products to clients in Europe.
  • Product Localization: Collaborate with product development teams to tailor products to meet the regulatory, technical, and cultural requirements of the European market.
  • Industry Expertise: Stay informed about industry developments, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that could impact product demand and market opportunities.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including engineering, marketing, and logistics to ensure alignment on business goals and product delivery.

Focus for the next 6-12 month:

  • Identify immediate opportunities to generate tangible results within 12 month participating in the Semiconductor investment cycle for product & process players and their supply chains in Europe.
  • Establish, maintain and expand industrial network to identify (value creation) and capture (business opportunity) customer needs and inform on progress regularly 
  • Document “Inventory” of Applications and future applications within the Semicon Industry and map it against the HMI portfolio.
  • Analysis of what can be sold with current product portfolio for respective Semicon applications.
  • Mapping of relevant Semicon companies and their supply chain by plant/application and execute actionable activities.
  • Define accounts in the Semicon-Industry which will be approached throughout 2025 to grow business.
  • Develop GTM strategy on how to execute sales in practice. 
  • Market Entry Strategy: Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy for the introduction of Chinese products into Europe, (e.g. solutions for semiconductor & battery industries).
     

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in account management, business development and sales, ideally within the semiconductor industry
  • Strong understanding of European market dynamics and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience in introducing Chinese-manufactured products to international markets, preferably in Europe.
  • Able to function in a matrix organisation
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and drive projects from concept to completion
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Mandarin or other European languages is a plus
  • Frequent travel (40%)
