Summary

The Metrology Trainer will provide technical expertise and support as a key subject matter expert for our range of metrology based training courses across the UK and Ireland region, with occasional support required across the wider North EMEA area. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive training and support, ensuring customers develop their understanding of metrology practices and solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver and develop instructor-led training courses in classroom, online and practical workshop environments, including but not limited to:
    • NPL (All Levels)
    • AUKOM (All Levels)
    • GD&T
    • Measurement Best Practice
  • Complete associated administration tasks in a timely manner (e.g., reports, documentation, certification, CRM updates).
  • Ensure compliance with organisational standards, including health and safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Provide input for continuous improvement initiatives and product development.
  • Occasional travel and support across the wider North EMEA region.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or completed apprenticeship in a technical discipline (Engineering, Physics, or related field).
  • Minimum 5-6 years post-degree or apprenticeship experience in an engineering environment.
  • Ability to understand and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and engineering drawings.
  • Proven experience in a Metrology or transferable engineering field.
  • Background in Teaching or course delivery is desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English are essential.
  • Willingness to travel across UK and occasionally North EMEA as required.
