  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for reverse engineering, scan-to-CAD, dimensional inspection, and related digital manufacturing workflows.

  • Facilitate customer, channel partner, and internal employee training, including workshops, webinars, and certification activities.

  • Prepare software environments, sample datasets, scanners, workstations, and supporting materials for training courses.

  • Create and maintain course outlines, instructor guides, presentations, exercises, assessments, and supporting datasets.

  • Update training content to reflect new software releases, product enhancements, industry practices, and recommended workflows.

  • Develop application-focused training for customers across industries including aerospace, automotive, medical device, industrial equipment, consumer products, and general manufacturing.

  • Provide technical guidance related to point clouds, polygon meshes, feature extraction, surface and solid modeling, CAD transfer, inspection alignment, GD&T, deviation analysis, and reporting.

  • Adapt demonstrations, exercises, and training approaches to customer parts, processes, applications, and business objectives.

  • Identify customer skill gaps and adoption barriers and recommend appropriate training, software, or service solutions.

  • Partner with Product Management, Application Engineering, Technical Support, Marketing, Sales, and other internal teams to ensure training content aligns with customer and market needs.

  • Capture customer feedback and communicate product, application, and workflow insights to appropriate internal stakeholders.

  • Support selected product demonstrations, evaluations, pre-sales engagements, and customer workshops.

  • Deliver technical presentations at trade shows, user events, open houses, partner meetings, and industry conferences.

  • Support channel partners in strengthening their ability to demonstrate, support, and train customers on Geomagic solutions.

  • Independently manage training schedules, course preparation, travel requirements, and customer commitments while maintaining a consistent and professional learning experience.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in reverse engineering, dimensional inspection, 3D scanning, metrology, CAD, technical training, application engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Advanced hands-on proficiency with Geomagic Design X and/or Geomagic Control X.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering technical training, application support, consulting, or other customer-facing technical services.

  • Strong understanding of reverse engineering and inspection workflows, including point clouds, polygon meshes, feature extraction, surface and solid modeling, CAD transfer, inspection alignment, GD&T, deviation analysis, and report creation.

  • Experience working with 3D scanning, metrology, CAD, or related manufacturing technologies.

  • Ability to independently evaluate customer requirements and adapt technical instruction to varying levels of experience and application complexity.

  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to audiences ranging from new software users to experienced engineers and manufacturing professionals.

  • Strong presentation, facilitation, written communication, organization, and time-management skills.

  • Strong customer orientation with the ability to build effective relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently in a home-based environment while collaborating effectively with geographically distributed teams.

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% throughout North America, including overnight and multi-day travel.
