Technical Sales Specialist – Mold & Die Software

Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist focused on Mold and Die Software. This is a remote role based in the United States, but candidate must be located on the West Coast in PT time zone.

About the Role

The Technical Sales Specialist will be responsible for driving software sales growth within the Mold and Die industry segment. This individual will work closely with prospects and existing customers to understand their needs, demonstrate software capabilities, and close business opportunities aligned with Hexagon’s advanced CAD/CAM and CAE software offerings for mold and die manufacturing.

• Identify and qualify sales opportunities within the mold and die industry across North America.
• Deliver engaging software demonstrations tailored to customer-specific applications.
• Maintain a deep understanding of Hexagon’s Mold & Die software portfolio and communicate its value proposition.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to support targeted campaigns and event participation.
• Support pre- and post-sales technical inquiries and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
• Maintain CRM records with accurate account and opportunity data.
• Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to strategic revenue growth goals.
• Provide input for product development based on customer feedback and industry trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in technical software sales within manufacturing industries.
• Experience with CAD/CAM/CAE software (e.g., WORKNC, VISI, SURFCAM, NCSIMUL, SMIRT, Designer or comparable mold and die software).
• Strong understanding of mold and die manufacturing processes and workflows.
• Ability to deliver compelling product demonstrations and technical presentations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
• Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to manage a remote sales territory.
• Proficient in using CRM and sales reporting tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time within North America.

This is a remote role based in the United States on the West Coast in PT time zone. The position involves regular computer use, virtual meetings, and domestic travel. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods, communicate effectively via phone and video, and occasionally lift up to 15 pounds when traveling with equipment or materials.
