Post Processor Engineer (RADAN CAM) (f/m/d)

Summary

The Post Processor Engineer is responsible for the creation and maintenance of machine-specific post processors within our sheet metal fabrication CAM software. These post processors translate CAM toolpaths into machine-ready NC code, enabling accurate operation of CNC cutting machines across a wide range of brands and configurations. 
The role supports the delivery of tailored post processors used by application engineers and sales teams in customer projects. Post processors must be reliable, maintainable, and scalable—ensuring our solutions perform seamlessly in real-world production environments. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain post processors for sheet metal and multi-axis CNC machines

  • Convert customer and machine specifications into reliable NC code

  • Apply updates and improvements based on user feedback

  • Test and validate NC output to ensure accuracy and performance

  • Document work and contribute to shared code libraries

  • Review peer contributions for consistency and quality

  • Support delivery of post processors in customer projects

  • Help improve internal tools and workflows

Qualifications

  • Professional experience in C# or C++ software development 

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a structured and logical mindset 

  • Solid understanding of geometry and coordinate systems 

  • Ability to interpret NC code, machine specs, and technical documentation 

  • Comfortable working in cross-functional environments with short feedback loops
