Role Overview
Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is seeking a Senior Specialist Security Analyst to join our cybersecurity team in Monterrey, Mexico. This hybrid role focuses on advanced threat detection, incident response, and security operations in partnership with our global Managed Detection and Response (MDR) provider.
As a senior-level cybersecurity professional, you will strengthen Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence’s global security posture by identifying, analyzing, and mitigating complex threats across enterprise environments. You will play a key role in protecting critical systems, data, and infrastructure while contributing to continuous improvement of our security operations capabilities.
Job Responsibilities
• Monitor SIEM platforms and security monitoring tools to detect, investigate, and escalate potential threats.
• Lead coordination and response efforts for major security incidents, ensuring timely containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Perform advanced threat intelligence analysis and digital forensic investigations.
• Develop and enhance security automation, detection use cases, and response mechanisms.
• Partner with the global MDR provider to optimize threat detection and incident response processes.
• Support vulnerability management activities including risk prioritization and remediation tracking.
• Document incident findings, root cause analyses, and lessons learned to improve organizational resilience.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the evolution of cybersecurity strategy and operational maturity.
• Collaborate with global IT, infrastructure, and application teams to strengthen enterprise security controls.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in security operations, threat detection, and incident response.
• Strong experience working with SIEM platforms and security monitoring tools.
• Experience leading or coordinating major security incident response activities.
• Knowledge of threat intelligence frameworks, attack methodologies (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK), and forensic techniques.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, GCIA, GCIH, or similar.
• Experience working with global MDR providers.
• Knowledge of cloud security (Azure, AWS, or similar environments).
• Experience with security automation and scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to global operations.
