Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence business area is seeking a Senior Accountant for our North Kingstown, Rhode Island location. This is a Hybrid or On-site position.

About the Role:
The Senior Accountant plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational support within the U.S. finance organisation. This role is responsible for complex accounting activities, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, maintaining internal controls, and partnering cross-functionally to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation
- Lead assigned areas of the month-end and year-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Analyse financial results, investigate variances, and provide clear explanations to management
- Support internal and external audit activities, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies
- Maintain and improve internal controls over financial reporting
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounting processes and systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex financial data and present findings clearly
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- CPA or CPA-track preferred
- Experience in manufacturing or multi-entity environments preferred
Work Environment:
This role operates primarily in an office environment with standard office equipment. Employees will frequently remain in a stationary position and regularly use hands for typing and operating office equipment. Occasional movement within the office and, at times, the manufacturing floor may be required. Appropriate PPE will be provided when necessary. Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds may be required. Travel may be required up to 10 percent.
