Summary
We are seeking an experienced Automation Solutions Project Manager (m/f/d) to join our team in Saint-Aubin (91), renowned as the French Silicon Valley. In this role, you will be the project lead for high-impact industrial projects, and will coordinate all project stakeholders. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and our customers to ensure successful delivery.
Our customers are major players in the energy, automotive, aerospace, and aeronautics sectors, working on some of the most advanced technologies in the world. You will be involved in groundbreaking projects, such as the construction of aircrafts, rockets, trucks, and more.
This position will require some travel to customer sites and Hexagon factories within France and Spain.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage automation projects from launch till delivery.
- Ensure projects adhere to quality standards and client specifications.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks to ensure project success.
- Drive customer experience through effective communication and relationship building with customer stakeholders and internal teams.
- Manage projects using advanced technologies such as Laser Tracker and Robotic Inspection Cells, software development and connectivity, automations and PLC equipment.
- Coordinate with sub-contractors and multiple parts providers (both internal and external).
- Conduct project governance and regular meetings with customer PMO and other technical referents.
- Ensure follow-up of project indicators like percentage of achievement and performed vs. budgetized hours.
- Review and adjust project budgets in response to scope changes.
- Manage on-site deployment and ensure compliance with administrative/regulatory documentation.
- Negotiate with vendors and oversee vendor management.
- Provide reporting on project status, including planning, budget, risk to management.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in automation technologies.
Qualifications
- Degree in mechanical, electronic, automation, or a similar field.
- Previous experience (apprenticeship included) in project management within the automation industry.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously using recognized project management tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with quality standards and metrology (metrology standards, ISO norms..). Ideally, you have some experience with dimensional metrology devices as a user, application engineer, or metrology service provider.
- Understanding of PLCs, automation, safety protocols, communication protocols, and compliance with Directive Machine 2006/42/CE.
- Understanding of Software computing, development and supervision.
- Excellent command of French, effective communication skills in English.
- Excellent time management skills, prioritizing tasks, and managing assignments.
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with clients at both business and technical levels.
- Willingness and ability to travel for meetings and act as the HxGN representant on customer site during milestones and installation phase.
