Summary
Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is seeking a proactive, autonomous, and technically skilled Applications Engineer to support the deployment and customer adoption of PRESTO, our fully automated robotic solution for 3D metrology and dimensional inspection.
This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing position involving metrology, robotics, automated systems, and advanced software tools. Most work will take place on customer sites across the GCC, with occasional international travel depending on project needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Demonstrations & Technical Engagement
- Deliver engaging on‑site and virtual demonstrations of PRESTO.
- Prepare and execute PoCs tailored to customer workflows and requirements.
- Support the sales team by providing technical insight during opportunity development.
- System Deployment & Configuration
- Install, configure, and validate PRESTO robotic metrology cells.
- Develop automated inspection routines and optimize system performance.
- Integrate PRESTO with metrology tools (e.g., PC‑DMIS) and customer‑specific systems.
- Customer Training & Support
- Conduct structured user training sessions covering system operation, best practices, and workflow optimization.
- Provide on‑site and remote support, troubleshooting, and application expertise.
- Ensure strong customer satisfaction and long‑term technical engagement.
- Measurement Services & Documentation
- Perform dimensional analyses, correlation studies, GR&R, and reporting.
- Produce clear technical documentation and reference material.
- Internal Collaboration
- Communicate field insights to engineering, R&D, and product teams.
- Participate in internal documentation and knowledge‑sharing initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics, Automation, or related engineering fields.
- 2+ years experience in metrology, robotics, or industrial automation.
- Strong understanding of 3D measurement, GD&T, and CMM principles.
- Experience with metrology software (PC‑DMIS, Inspire, PolyWorks, Spatial Analyzer) is a plus.
- Knowledge of automated systems or robotics is highly valued (not mandatory).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Fluent English and Arabic (spoken and written).
- Proactive, self‑driven, and comfortable working independently.
- Strong communication and customer‑facing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- High availability for travel within GCC + occasional global travel.
