Summary
We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager (f/m/d) to drive our business in the French-speaking part of Switzerland (Romandy) with focus on our stationary metrology solutions. Our stationary metrology solutions are high-precision measurement systems used in manufacturing to verify and improve the quality of parts and production processes.
In this position, you will be part of our Swiss sales team located in Renens (VD), and will travel around the French speaking part of Switzerland on a daily basis to develop and grow our Sales. While Renens serves as our team hub, we offer flexibility regarding your place of work, with the possibility to be based anywhere in Romandy.
We are looking for someone who is truly service-oriented and interested in working in a hi-tech environment, together with a dynamic international team and who can start immediately.
Job Responsibilities
- Sales responsibility for French speaking part of Switzerland
- Sales of the full systems and machines portfolio and the associated services
- Intensive search for new customers & support the existing customer base in the area of responsibility
- Organize the product demos for the customers
- Develop and implement the strategy for growing the sales funnel
- Establish quotes
- Ensure the follow-up of the quotes until the order
- Support order processing department for orders to the factories and order confirmation to the customer
- Support marketing activities: fairs, seminars, promotional events etc.
- Participate in the annual budget process
- All other tasks in relation with the position
- Travelling to customers
- In the area of responsibility, analyse and report to the management on market shares, new products, new measuring technologies, trends, pricing, etc.
- Participate in the development of the mid- and long-term sales strategies in the area of responsibility
- Suggest the ideal product portfolio including the pricing strategy
- Participate in product meetings and fairs
- Do demo reports and statistical analysis of sales success
- Fill in and maintain the CRM for the area of responsibility
Qualifications
- Technical education complemented by sales experience; a federal sales diploma is a strong asset
- 3–5 years of proven experience in selling investment goods and managing project-based sales
Solid technical background, ideally in mechanics, with hands-on experience - Know a customer relationship management SW (CRM), master the MS Office package
- Fluent in French (Written and spoken) and good knowledge of English and/or German. Any other language would be an asset
- Experience in metrology would be an advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach
- Able to work independently, with a high level of availability and flexibility
