Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager for Southern Europe to lead software sales through a predominantly channel-focused model, while also supporting selected direct sales initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and executing sales strategies to expand Hexagon software market share, maximize software revenue growth, and discover new industry-specific opportunities.
The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset and a proven track record in the software sector—specifically within advanced technical solutions like reverse engineering and inspection software. You will primarily drive growth through the strategic management and enablement of our distributor and partner network, while supporting targeted direct sales opportunities to ensure a seamless, high-performing ecosystem.
This is a remote role that can be based anywhere in Southern Europe, with regular travel across the region required to support customers, partners, and business development activities.
Job Responsibilities
- Strategic Growth & Sales Execution
- Drive Regional Revenue: Develop and execute localized, high-impact sales strategies to achieve and exceed regional revenue targets across Southern Europe.
- Dual-Track Approach: Successfully manage a channel-led sales model, driving the majority of growth through a robust software distributor and partner network while supporting selected direct sales initiatives with Hexagon devices.
- Market Expansion: Identify new industry-specific opportunities, vertical markets, and customized application solutions to expand our customer install base.
- Channel Partner & Distributor Management
- Network Optimization: Build, strengthen, and optimize distributor and reseller capabilities across the region, aligning them with company growth targets.
- Partner Acquisition: Proactively identify, negotiate, and sign new strategic partnerships to expand geographic and market coverage.
- Enablement: Act as a trusted advisor to partners, providing them with the tools, training, and strategic support needed to advance customized software solutions.
- Internal Collaboration & Operational Excellence
- Pipeline & Forecasting: Oversee and optimize lead management processes and maintain an accurate sales forecasting model.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with internal sales, technical support, and marketing teams to align regional initiatives.
- Client-Centric Solutions: Work closely with partners to understand their technical requirements, delivering software solutions in reverse engineering and inspection workflows.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in B2B software sales management, ideally with a strong emphasis on regional territories.
- Solid understanding of, or experience in, technical software environments—specifically reverse engineering, metrology, or quality inspection software is highly preferred.
- Channel Expertise: Proven track record of managing, onboarding, and scaling software distributor/reseller networks alongside a direct sales quota.
- Strong proficiency in pipeline management, CRM tools, accurate forecasting, and data-driven sales strategies.
- Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Fluency in English and at least one major Southern European language (e.g.French, Italian, or Spanish) is mandatory.
- Willingness to travel regionally as required.
