Software Engineer (React / TypeScript) - (m/f/d)

Summary

Are you passionate about developing cutting-edge software and building user interfaces with React and TypeScript? We are looking for an experienced React Software Engineer (m/f/d) to join our teams in the UK! In this role, you will develop and maintain React components, contribute to the design of user-friendly interfaces, and ensure quality through automated testing. As a React specialist, you'll work closely with backend developers to design high-performing applications that provide excellent user experiences, contributing to products that are revolutionizing the manufacturing domain.

You will join a small team of 5 developers, working within a larger group of multiple teams spread across the UK. This set up allows you to make a meaningful impact while being part of a larger, collaborative environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop new react components based on business requirements and user needs.
  • Maintain and enhance automated tests to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Help to design user-friendly interfaces and connections between UI and backend.
  • Integrate React components into desktop applications.
  • Contribute to the creation of a modern, performant UI with good UX.
  • Participate in Agile team ceremonies.
  • Engage in higher-level roadmap planning events.
  • Remain current with the latest industry standards, best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Continuously improve technical skills through online training and/or independent learning.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • BSc or MSc in a STEM subject (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on React and TypeScript development experience.
  • Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and the ability to help design intuitive components.
  • Ability to understand backend requirements and collaborate effectively with backend developers.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across regions.

 

Desirable skills and experience: 

  • Awareness of good architectural design (SOLID principles, UI/core separation).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and automated testing practices.
  • Experience with Windows, Visual Studio Code, Node.js, npm, git, Azure, Jira/Confluence.
  • Experience in Backend development (C#/C++).
