Short description: Are you passionate about developing cutting-edge software and building intuitive user interfaces with React and TypeScript? We’re looking for a senior-level React Software Engineer (w/m/d) to join our teams in the UK. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain robust React components, contribute to the creation of seamless user experiences, and ensure code quality through automated testing. As a React expert, you'll collaborate closely with backend developers to deliver high-performing applications that are transforming the manufacturing domain.

You’ll join a focused team of five developers, embedded in a wider team -- across the UK and Europe—offering the opportunity to make a tangible impact while being supported by a collaborative and innovative environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop new React components based on business requirements and user needs, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
  • Help design user-friendly interfaces and seamlessly integrate frontend components with backend systems.
  • Enhance and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure reliability and code quality.
  • Integrate React components into desktop applications to deliver consistent user experiences across platforms.
  • Contribute to the creation of a modern, performant, and accessible UI with strong UX principles.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Engage in roadmap planning and contribute to the strategic direction of UI development.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in frontend development.
  • Support the team’s growth by mentoring others in React and UI development practices.

Qualifications

  • BSc or MSc in a STEM subject (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in React and TypeScript development.
  • Strong understanding of UI/UX principles with the ability to help design intuitive, user-centered components.
  • Strong understanding of backend integration needs and ability to work closely with backend developers.
  • Proven track record in delivering high-quality software in a professional environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset for working with cross-functional, international teams.

 

Desirable skills and experience: 

  • Awareness of solid architectural design principles (e.g., SOLID, UI/core separation).
  • Exposure to backend development (C#/C++).
  • Experience working in Agile teams and familiarity with automated testing practices.
  • Comfortable using tools such as Windows, Visual Studio Code, Node.js, npm, git, Azure, and Jira/Confluence.
