Field Service Engineer CMM (f/m/d) - Slovenia

Summary

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, calibration, service, and repair of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) at customer sites. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role that combines technical expertise with autonomy and frequent travel across Slovenia and former Yugo countries. You will play a key role in ensuring high machine performance and customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and calibrate CMM systems at customer sites
  • Perform on-site service, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of customer machines
  • Provide technical support and hands-on assistance directly at customer locations
  • Train customers on machine operation, basic maintenance, and best practices
  • Document and register all work performed according to company procedures
  • Support aftermarket activities including spare parts replacement, hardware maintenance, and warranty-related tasks
  • Comply with company quality standards, safety guidelines, and policies
  • Travel autonomously across Slovenia and occasionally neighboring former Yugoslav countries

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field
  • At least 1 year of field service or similar technical experience (advantage)
  • Experience working with hand tools and mechanical or electrical equipment
  • Ability to work independently with a strong customer-focused mindset
  • Good communication skills and confidence when interacting with customers
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75%
  • Residence in Slovenia
  • Valid driving license with active driving experience
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft operating systems
  • English at B1 level and native-level Slovenian
