Product Engineer, Division Production Software

TITLE:  Product Engineer (Job Code: RI0630) 

 

DETAILS:        

Focus on the Production Machining suite of software as part of the product management team of Production Software. Play a crucial role in the promotion, development, and enhancement of our software products. Responsible for understanding customer needs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the entire product development lifecycle. Collaborate with R&D to support development of new features with testing and definition of customer needs. Internal promotion of the product and of its new features. Creation of technical product marketing content for external promotion by Marketing teams. Second-level support for internal teams and partners and resellers. Develop productive relationships with key stakeholders around the company. Maintain a customer-centric mindset in which the customer is placed at the center of every decision. Less than 5% domestic and international travel for customer visits to obtain customer feedback about our products and for in person meetings with the broader team. May work from home.

 

REQUIREMENTS:     

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing/Production or related field plus 1 year of experience in the offered position or related position.

 

SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess expertise/knowledge sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered. Expertise/knowledge may be gained through employment experience or education. Such expertise/knowledge cannot be “quantified” by “time”. Required expertise/knowledge includes:

 

  • CAM software proficiency, including experience using CAM solution frequently in a production or a service position for a CAM dealer or editor.
  • CNC Machining knowledge, including understanding of CNC machine operations, G-code, toolpaths, and post-processing.
  • CAD skills, including experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) to work with 3D models and designs.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including milling, turning, multi-axis machining, and other manufacturing techniques.
  • Experience in CNC machining, production environments, or software development for manufacturing.
  • Ability to write clear, concise, and actionable product requirements.
  • Experience with Agile methodology for software development or product management.

 

OTHER:     Job Site: North Kingstown, RI; 40 hours/week; Salary range: $72,363 - $86,056.88 per year If offered employment must have legal right to work in U.S.  EOE.
