Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance / FP&A team in the Novi, Michigan area. This hybrid role requires working onsite approximately three days per week to support collaboration and onboarding. Limited travel may be required (up to approximately 10%), including occasional visits to our North Kingstown, Rhode Island site.
This role operates at an experienced professional level, requiring strong independent analytical capability, business partnership skills, and the ability to influence planning outcomes through data-driven insight. The Senior Financial Analyst partners closely with Sales and cross-functional stakeholders to develop, challenge, and translate commercial plans into revenue projections and forecasting scenarios.
Job Responsibilities
- Partner with Sales teams to develop, review, and refine sales (order) plans, bringing structure, clarity, and actionable insights.
- Challenge assumptions in submitted sales plans using critical thinking, sound business judgment, and a collaborative approach.
- Translate sales and order plans into revenue projections and forecasting scenarios to support business planning.
- Support P&L planning processes through detailed financial analysis and coordination across Finance and operational stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain Excel-based financial models, reports, and dashboards to communicate performance drivers, risks, and opportunities.
- Analyze trends in orders, revenue, margins, and backlog to provide forward-looking insights.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships to improve planning accuracy and support data-driven decision-making.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of forecasting tools, planning processes, and reporting capabilities.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 2–5 years of experience in financial analysis, commercial planning, FP&A, or a related analytical role.
- Experience partnering with Sales or commercial teams to support forecasting, planning, and performance tracking.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and working with large datasets.
- Ability to critically review sales plans and constructively challenge assumptions while building alignment.
- Experience translating sales/order plans into revenue projections and planning scenarios.
- Manufacturing background preferred; industrial manufacturing and/or automotive experience is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with a business-oriented mindset.
- Independent, analytical problem solver with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to work onsite in Novi, Michigan approximately three days per week and travel up to 10% as needed.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Work Environment
This role operates primarily in an office setting with standard equipment usage, including computer, phone, and other office tools. The employee will frequently remain in a stationary position for extended periods while performing computer-based work. Regular communication with internal stakeholders is required. Occasional travel (up to approximately 10%) may be required, including visits to other Hexagon locations.
