Position Overview
We are seeking a high-impact Sales Director to lead and expand our Mold & Die Software business across the United States. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, leading a distributed sales team, and executing strategic initiatives within key manufacturing segments.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in industrial or CAD/CAM software sales, deep familiarity with mold and die processes, and a proven ability to lead teams and scale revenue in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Strategy
- Define and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with global objectives for the Mold & Die Software portfolio
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team across the U.S.
- Set clear targets, performance metrics, and accountability standards
Revenue Growth & Pipeline Management
- Own revenue performance, forecasting accuracy, and pipeline development
- Drive new customer acquisition while expanding relationships within existing accounts
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities across key verticals such as automotive, aerospace, and industrial tooling
Industry & Customer Engagement
- Build strong relationships with executive stakeholders, toolmakers, and manufacturing leaders
- Represent Hexagon at trade shows, customer events, and industry forums
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers on mold and die design and manufacturing solutions
Go-to-Market Execution
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine positioning and execute GTM strategies
- Support successful product launches and adoption of new features and solutions
- Ensure consistent, value-based selling across the team
Operational Excellence
- Drive disciplined use of CRM and sales processes to improve visibility and execution
- Monitor key performance indicators (pipeline health, win rates, deal size, sales cycle length)
- Implement best practices in sales methodology and account management
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with application engineering, technical sales, and customer success teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Provide market and customer feedback to inform product development and roadmap decisions
Align with global leadership on strategy, reporting, and performance
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of B2B sales experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role
- Proven success in industrial software, CAD/CAM, or manufacturing technology sales
- Strong understanding of mold and die design, tooling, or machining processes
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed revenue targets and lead high-performing teams
- Experience managing complex, consultative sales cycles
- Excellent leadership, communication, and executive presence
- Experience selling into mold shops, tool & die makers, or OEM manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with CAM programming, CNC machining, or tool design workflows
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field (MBA a plus)
Work Environment
- Fully remote within the United States
- Travel up to ~40% for customer visits, team leadership, and industry events
