Data Science Intern

Summary

Hexagon is a global leader in digital reality solutions, combining sensor, software, and autonomous technologies. Our R&D team is pioneering innovations in high-performance computing (HPC), solver intelligence, and machine learning integration across simulation workflows.

We are seeking a passionate and technically skilled intern to join our R&D team as a Data Science Intern. This role is ideal for students with a strong foundation in data engineering and statistical analysis, eager to apply their skills to real-world simulation data and AI-driven workflows. This is a hybrid position in Novi, MI.

Job Responsibilities

  • Clean and preprocess simulation data using Python (Pandas, NumPy).
  • Build Dockerized data pipelines for feature engineering and analysis.
  • Collaborate with ML engineers to prepare datasets for modeling.
  • Contribute to internal dashboards and data-driven insights.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Data Science or related graduate program.
  • Experience with Python, SQL, and data wrangling tools.
  • Familiarity with ML libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow).
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
