Short description: As an R&D Software Developer (f/m/d) you will be creating new mathematical models and computer programs to simulate multiple physical domains such as thermal, electrical, mechanical and fluid for driveline systems. This is a highly technical role that requires you to have excellent mathematical modelling and programing skills. There is a strong need to think beyond conventional approaches to conceive of and develop new and innovative approaches.

Job Responsibilities
- Development of mathematical models to simulate performance of various physical domains and their interactions.
- Development of analytical and numerical solvers (including time-stepping solvers) to solve ordinary and partial differential equations and differential algebraic equations.
- Software implementation of mathematical models and solvers.
- Extension of proof-of-concepts to full software implementations.
- Documentation of technical methods.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in physics, mathematics, computer science or any relevant engineering discipline.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming and appreciation for good software architecture.
- Proficiency in a programming language (preferably C++).
- Experience in physics-based modelling.
- Experience in multi-body dynamics or multi-physics simulation (preferred).
- Collaborative approach and good communication skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to learn and work in other programming languages such as C# and Smalltalk.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
