Job Responsibilities

The Materials Coordinator is responsible for supporting the flow of materials throughout the production process. This role ensures proper inventory levels, coordinates with suppliers and internal departments, and manages shipping and receiving functions to ensure smooth operations.

- Manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials and finished goods.

- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy.

- Collaborate with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability.

- Coordinate with vendors and carriers for inbound and outbound shipments.

- Monitor material usage and adjust replenishment strategies to meet production schedules.

- Utilize ERP systems to process material transactions and generate reports.

- Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards for material handling and storage.

- Identify opportunities to improve material flow and reduce waste.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.

- 2+ years of experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or supply chain support.

- Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate material handling equipment as required.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

- Knowledge of shipping regulations and documentation processes preferred.

Work Environment

This role is performed in a manufacturing facility environment with exposure to warehouse conditions and material handling equipment. The work involves standing, walking, bending, lifting, and operating material handling tools and equipment. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided and required as appropriate.
