Marketing Analytics Intern

Summary

At Hexagon, our marketing team uses data to shape smarter strategies and drive real business impact. As part of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, you’ll help us understand how marketing influences pipeline and revenue in a complex B2B environment. This internship is ideal for a student who loves working with data, enjoys solving analytical problems, and is curious about how marketing works in a large enterprise.

We are growing and are looking for a Marketing Analytics Intern to join our team in Rhode Island (on-site with potential hybrid flexibility). In this role, you will work closely with our Marketing Operations and Analytics teams to clean, analyze, and interpret data, build reports and dashboards, and support digital marketing workflows using our marketing technology stack. You’ll gain hands-on experience with real-world marketing data, learn key concepts like attribution models and stage progressions, and help turn insights into recommendations that guide our go-to-market teams.

Job Responsibilities

As a member of the Marketing Operations team, you will work in collaboration with marketers across the Americas region to provide data-driven insights and hands-on support for Hexagon’s B2B marketing activities. Main responsibilities include:

  • Ownership of data cleanup and enrichment projects to improve the quality and usability of marketing and sales data
  • Building, updating, and maintaining reports in Excel, Power BI, and our CRM to support pipeline, attribution, and performance analysis
  • Manipulating and analyzing large datasets, interpreting trends, and highlighting key insights to help the team make informed decisions
  • Supporting the creation of presentations and slides that clearly communicate findings, trends, and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Assisting with data-related operational tasks such as list uploads, segmentation, and basic workflow setup across our marketing tech stack
  • Participating in the execution of digital marketing workflows and campaigns, including working with tools like account-based marketing platforms and other enterprise marketing technologies

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business-related field (e.g., Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Business, Marketing with strong analytics focus)
  • Strong skills in Excel and comfortable working with large data sets (sorting, filtering, basic formulas, pivot tables, charts)
  • Some hands-on exposure to data visualization or analytics tools (e.g., Power BI or similar) through coursework or projects
  • Interest in learning CRM and marketing tools (e.g., Salesforce or marketing automation platforms)
  • Demonstrated analytical mindset: curious, detail-oriented, and eager to explore data to identify patterns and trends
  • Comfortable using AI-based tools to support data processing, analysis, and reporting
  • Able to interpret data and clearly communicate findings and basic recommendations to non-technical stakeholders
  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks with guidance in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills; enjoys working as part of a team
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Typically entering senior year or later preferred, but open to other years with the right skills and mindset

Work Environment

  • Regular use of computer equipment; occasional movement around labs or factory floor. 
  • May involve light lifting (up to 15 lbs) of equipment or demonstration tools. 
  • Team-oriented environment with collaborative problem-solving and technical engagement.
