Manager, Sales Operations

Job Summary

The Manager, Sales Operations will be responsible for optimizing the effectiveness of the sales organization through strategic planning, operational efficiency, and data-driven insights. This role will work closely with sales leaders, marketing, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and achieve revenue targets.

This is a fully remote position based in the United States. Candidates must be able to work core business hours aligned with the Eastern Time Zone

What You'll Do

  • Sales Strategy & Planning:
    • Partner with sales leadership to develop and refine sales strategies.
    • Coordinate sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes.
  • Operational Efficiency:
    • Design and manage sales workflows, policies, and tools to enhance productivity.
    • Ensure the CRM system (i.e. Salesforce) is used effectively and aligned with business needs.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
    • Analyze sales performance metrics and generate actionable insights.
    • Create and maintain sales dashboards and reports for leadership review.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify gaps in sales processes and recommend improvements.
    • Lead initiatives to automate and streamline sales operations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Liaise with marketing to ensure alignment on lead generation and qualification.
    • Work with finance to track sales compensation and revenue recognition.
  • Training & Support:
    • Provide training and support to the sales team on tools, policies, and processes.
    • Act as the point of contact for resolving operational issues impacting the sales team.

What You'll Bring

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in sales operations, preferably in a software/SaaS company.
    • Proven track record of managing sales processes and tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar CRMs.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in administration and management of Salesforce CRM.
    • Strong analytical skills with expertise in Excel, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
    • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with software sales cycles, especially B2B or SaaS.
    • Understanding of sales methodologies, sales progression & sales stages, and forecasting.
