Summary

As part of the expansion of the technical support team, Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is seeking a Technical Support specialist for its Vendôme site, where portable 3D measurement arms are developed and manufactured.

The role involves providing hardware and software support for the measurement arms, contributing to internal team training, helping to optimise support processes, and participating in product testing and validation, working closely with the technical and R&D teams. Given the international nature of this position, English is used daily in professional communications, and French is also useful for integration on the French-speaking Vendôme site.

Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Technical Support Manager, the role works closely with technical, commercial, and R&D teams in France and internationally, focusing on three main areas:

• Product Technical Support
  • Handle hotline support requests and ensure timely resolution.
  • Optimise branch support processes to improve local service efficiency.
  • Identify products or solutions to enhance the support offering.
  • Maintain and update hardware and software knowledge bases for the measurement arms.
  • Provide technical input to the measurement arm and commercial support teams.
  • Liaise occasionally with external service centres as part of after-sales support.
• Technical Training
  • Deliver training sessions for application technicians, after-sales teams, and sales staff, in France and internationally.
  • Contribute to the design of training materials and tools.
  • Implement assessments and monitor participant progress.
• Test & Development Support
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues by replicating tests performed in service centres.
  • Test application software with measurement products.
  • Participate in testing new products in collaboration with R&D.
  • Perform measurement tasks on request from the Quality department.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary technical education with initial experience on a similar role in an industrial or technical environment.
• Technical background in mechanics, electronics, metrology, or technical support is highly valued.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and/or software issues.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken, in a professional context; knowledge of French is also beneficial for integration at the French-speaking Vendôme site.
• Strong interpersonal skills, customer-oriented mindset, and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Familiarity with tools related to hotline activities is a plus.
• Rigorous, autonomous, and motivated by industrial technologies.
• Willingness to travel occasionally internationally (<10%).
