About the Role
Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is seeking a Senior Payroll & HR Shared Services Specialist to join our Global Business Services team in Monterrey, Mexico. This role combines advanced US payroll administration expertise with HR shared services support, serving as a key resource for employees, managers, and HR stakeholders across the employee lifecycle.
The successful candidate will provide US payroll processing, HR operations support, employee data management, compliance administration, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires a strong understanding of payroll regulations, ADP payroll systems, HR systems, employee services, and operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities
Payroll Operations
• Process US payroll transactions including new hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, compensation changes, tax updates, deductions, direct deposit changes, retroactive adjustments, and special payments.
• Review payroll data for accuracy and compliance before payroll processing.
• Administer payroll-related employee records, including leave balances, timekeeping data, vacation, sick leave, and other employee programs.
• Prepare payroll reporting, reconciliations, journal entries, and payroll-related accounting support.
• Support payroll tax reporting, regulatory filings, audits, and compliance activities.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
• Generate specialized payroll reports and workforce analytics.
HR Shared Services
• Serve as a primary point of contact for employee and manager HR inquiries.
• Process employee lifecycle transactions including onboarding, offboarding, organizational changes, and employee data updates.
• Maintain accurate employee records within HRIS and payroll systems.
• Ensure data integrity across HR and payroll platforms.
• Support benefits administration and employee program activities.
• Partner with Payroll, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and other stakeholders to resolve complex issues.
Qualifications
Must Have
• 8+ years of experience in payroll administration, with additional experience in HR shared services, or related areas.
• Experience processing payroll transactions and supporting payroll compliance activities.
• Strong knowledge of HRIS systems and 5+ years of ADP payroll system administration
• Demonstrated knowledge of US and state payroll taxes, 401(k) payroll regulations and workers compensation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
