Position Summary

The Order Management Supervisor is responsible for leading and optimizing the end-to-end order management function supporting hardware, software, and service transactions across Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence.

This role ensures operational excellence throughout the order lifecycle while driving efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

 

The Order Management Supervisor will lead a team of Order Management Specialists and serve as a key operational partner to Sales, Finance, Planning, Logistics, and Customer Support.

The successful candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities, operational expertise, and a continuous improvement mindset to support revenue realization, customer satisfaction, and business performance in a global manufacturing technology environment.

Job Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of Order Management Specialists.
  • Establish performance expectations, operational standards, and service level objectives.
  • Monitor workload distribution, productivity, and team performance metrics.
  • Conduct regular coaching, performance reviews, and development planning.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

 

Order Lifecycle Management

  • Oversee the accurate processing, validation, and execution of hardware, software, and service orders.
  • Ensure compliance with pricing policies, approval workflows, contractual obligations, and commercial guidelines.
  • Review complex transactions and provide guidance on exception management.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Finance, Planning, Logistics, and Customer Support to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Ensure order data integrity across Salesforce, ERP systems, and related platforms.

 

Operational Performance & Reporting

  • Monitor key operational metrics including:
    • Order backlog
    • Processing cycle time
    • Order accuracy
    • Exception rates
    • SLA adherence
  • Develop and deliver operational reporting and dashboards to leadership.
  • Analyze trends and recommend actions to improve efficiency and customer experience.
  • Support business reviews through reporting and operational insights.

 

Financial & Compliance Controls

  • Validate invoicing and billing accuracy to support revenue recognition and financial reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and corporate governance policies.
  • Partner with Finance regarding:
    • Credit approvals
    • Billing exceptions
    • Revenue recognition alignment
    • Financial reporting requirements
  • Support internal and external audits as required.

 

Escalation Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex order issues and cross-functional challenges.
  • Identify process gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on:
    • Process standardization
    • Automation
    • Reporting enhancements
    • Customer experience improvements
  • Support system enhancements and digital transformation initiatives within Order Management.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

 

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Order Management, Commercial Operations, Sales Operations, or a related function.
  • Previous supervisory or people leadership experience managing operational teams.
  • Experience supporting hardware, software, and service order environments preferred.
  • Experience within a global or multinational organization preferred.
  • Manufacturing, industrial technology, or software industry experience highly desirable.

 

Systems & Technical Skills

  • Experience working with ERP platforms such as SAP or similar systems.
  • Experience utilizing Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience working with reporting tools and operational dashboards preferred.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
