Position Summary
Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is seeking an experienced Industry Solutions Consultant to drive business growth, develop strategic customer relationships, and help manufacturing organizations transform their operations through Hexagon's Connected Worker solutions.
This role will focus exclusively on Hexagon's Connected Worker platform, helping manufacturing organizations improve workforce productivity, operational efficiency, employee engagement, process standardization, and real-time visibility across their operations.
The Industry Solutions Consultant will serve as a trusted advisor to manufacturing customers, identifying operational challenges, understanding business objectives, and positioning Hexagon's Connected Worker capabilities as solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.
The successful candidate will combine consultative presales skills with an understanding of manufacturing environments, industrial operations, and digital transformation initiatives. This individual will be comfortable engaging operational leaders, technical stakeholders, and executive decision-makers while navigating complex enterprise sales opportunities.
This is a highly strategic, customer-facing position for someone passionate about helping industrial organizations modernize frontline operations, empower their workforce, and accelerate digital transformation.
Job Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing presales opportunities for Hexagon's Connected Worker solutions across targeted manufacturing industries.
- Identify manufacturing organizations where workforce digitalization, operational excellence, process standardization, and productivity improvement initiatives create opportunities for Connected Worker solutions.
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders across Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Continuous Improvement, IT, Digital Transformation, and executive leadership.
- Identify opportunities to expand initial Connected Worker deployments across additional facilities, plants, business units, and geographies.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by understanding their operational challenges, business priorities, technology environments, and digital transformation objectives.
- Conduct consultative discovery sessions to identify opportunities where Connected Worker solutions can improve frontline operations and manufacturing performance.
- Translate Hexagon's Connected Worker capabilities into compelling business value
- Enhanced workforce collaboration, communication, and knowledge sharing.
- Improved employee training, onboarding, and skills development.
- Increased operational visibility and real-time information access.
- Reduced manual processes, operational errors, and unplanned downtime.
- Lead and coordinate customer presentations, solution demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept initiatives.
- Partner with customers to identify opportunities for broader adoption and long-term value realization.
- Build relationships across complex organizations, identifying key decision-makers, influencers, champions, and executive sponsors.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, Marketing, Customer Success, Professional Services, technical teams, and other Hexagon commercial organizations to deliver a coordinated customer experience.
- Partner with internal technical resources to align Connected Worker capabilities with customer
- Stay informed on emerging manufacturing trends, connected workforce technologies, industrial digital transformation, and competitive solutions.
- Represent Hexagon at industry events, conferences, trade shows, customer meetings, and other relevant market activities.
- Develop strong internal relationships across Hexagon to identify opportunities for collaboration and customer growth.
- Support the development of strategic customer relationships that lead to recurring revenue, customer retention, and expanded Connected Worker adoption.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in B2B consultative sales, enterprise software sales, solution consulting, or business development, preferably within manufacturing technology, industrial software, SaaS, or digital transformation solutions.
- Demonstrated success developing customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, and driving revenue growth within complex enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, frontline workforce challenges, and operational improvement initiatives.
- Experience selling or consulting on technology solutions that improve manufacturing productivity, operational efficiency, workforce enablement, or digital transformation.
- Strong consultative discovery skills with the ability to identify customer challenges and translate technology capabilities into measurable business outcomes.
- Experience engaging stakeholders across Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, IT, Continuous Improvement, and executive leadership.
- Strong presentation, relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Experience developing new business opportunities while expanding relationships within existing customer accounts.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively across a global, matrixed organization.
- Willingness to travel throughout the United States for customer meetings, industry events, and internal business activities as required.
- Experience selling or consulting on Connected Worker platforms, industrial SaaS solutions, or manufacturing digital transformation technologies.
- Familiarity with digital work instructions, frontline workforce enablement, connected operations, knowledge management, and employee training technologies.
- Experience working with discrete manufacturing organizations, including automotive, aerospace and defense, industrial equipment, electronics, medical devices, or other advanced manufacturing industries.
- Experience collaborating with operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) stakeholders.
- Understanding of SaaS, subscription-based software, and recurring-revenue business models.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Experience helping customers evaluate, adopt, and scale new technologies within manufacturing environments.
