Summary

Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division is seeking an Applications Engineer I for our Miamisburg, Ohio office.

What You'll Do

• Conduct hardware and software demonstrations showcasing technical features and applications to prospective and existing customers.

• Effectively communicate product benefits for complex customer applications.

• Assist regional sales teams in providing product recommendations tailored to customer needs.

• Develop application programs and turnkey projects to accomplish customer specifications.

• Prepare operating instructions and conduct training programs for customers and partners.

• Maintain positive customer relationships through professional communication and support.

• Provide technical support and troubleshoot application issues to resolution.

• Collaborate with engineering and marketing teams on product development projects.

• Stay current with new technologies, application methods, and Hexagon software tools.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 6 months to 2 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a similar technical environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to small groups.

• Proficiency with MS Office applications and basic computer hardware.

• Strong customer service, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% (between MI and FL locations).

Work Environment

Employees must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation. This role involves frequent periods in a stationary position with occasional bending or kneeling, manual dexterity for computer and equipment use, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. The work environment includes a clean, well‑lighted office with moderate noise levels, and occasional visits to the factory floor where noise levels may be higher. Travel may be required up to 50%. Personal protective equipment will be provided when necessary.
