Job Title - Junior Project Manager
Location - Novi, Dallas,North Kingstown, Monterey - Hybrid
Summary
At Hexagon, we are looking for a Project Manager to join our AQS team.
The selected candidate will be responsible for leading complex industrial projects, ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, cost, and quality, and acting as a key point of contact for both customers and internal teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of projects, ensuring the achievement of scope, planning, budget, and quality objectives.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor project activities in collaboration with the various teams and departments involved.
- Establish and maintain structured and effective communication with customers, including the organization and facilitation of regular progress review meetings.
- Proactively identify, analyse, and manage project risks, dependencies, and potential deviations.
- Oversee and validate project milestones, deliverables, and associated billing status.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (engineering, sales, operations, and leadership) to ensure proper project execution.
- Drive an excellent customer experience through clear, professional, and solution-oriented communication.
- Lead the coordination of bids for complex projects, working jointly with the sales and engineering departments.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, and/or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of project management disciplines, methodologies, and tools. PMP certification is a plus.
- Previous experience as a Project Manager in industrial projects, preferably within the automotive sector and/or similar industries.
- Ability to interact with customers at both a business and technical level.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage assignments.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present to internal and customer stakeholders.
- Comfortable speaking in public and presenting to small groups.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently as well as in collaborative team environments.
- Willingness to travel.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in international and multidisciplinary environments.
- Knowledge of project planning and tracking tools (Wrike, MS Project, Jira, SAP, or similar).
- Experience in risk management, change management, and cost control.
- Additional certifications in project management or agile methodologies.
