We are looking for a Junior Field Application Engineer to join our team in Oradea (hybrid). This role is ideal for recent graduates and early-career mechanical or manufacturing engineers who want to develop expertise in stationary metrology technologies such as CMMs, optical measurement systems, and 3D scanning, supported by structured training and mentoring.
Job Responsibilities
- Support on-site and remote demonstrations of stationary metrology solutions (CMMs, Optical CMMs, 3D scanning systems)
- Assist the regional sales and applications teams with demo preparation, measurement validation, and solution presentations
- Participate in customer training sessions, learning how to explain metrology software, equipment setup, and best practices
- Perform basic measurement tasks, part programming, and technical support with guidance from senior engineers
- Build professional relationships with customers through clear communication and reliable technical support
- Contribute to documentation, training materials, and internal knowledge sharing
- Collaborate closely with experienced application engineers to learn processes, tools, and customer use cases
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T
- Initial exposure to CAD software
- Interest in measuring technologies, quality, and precision manufacturing
- Strong communication skills and willingness to interact with customers and internal teams
- Willingness to travel up to 70%, domestically and occasionally internationally
- Fluent Romanian and English at minimum B2 level (sufficient for following training and internal communication)
- Valid Category B driver’s license
Nice to Have
- First experience in manufacturing, mechanical engineering, quality, CNC, or metrology-related environments
- Practical experience with engineering drawings and GD&T
- Experience with software similar or related to AutoCAD, CATIA, SolidWorks
- Experience with metrology software (e.g. PC-DMIS) or CMMs.
