Summary
***This is a fully remote sales position, BUT person MUST live in TX, NM, KS, OK, AR or LA.***
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving new business development and managing existing customer relationships for the Volume Graphics product portfolio within the assigned territory. This is a software sales role that also requires the ability to sell associated services, and training. The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional with a technical mindset, capable of understanding customer needs in the areas of metrology, quality inspection and manufacturing. Success in this role requires a balance of consultative solution selling, relationship management, and the ability to position both software licenses and value-added services to maximize customer success and revenue growth. The Regional Sales Manager will work out of a home office with travel to customer sites and industry events.
Job Responsibilities
· Achieve or exceed sales targets for Volume Graphics software and services in the assigned region.
· Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities across industries such as automotive, aerospace, and medical devices.
· Manage and expand relationships with existing customers to drive renewals, upsells, and cross-selling of Volume Graphics software solutions.
· Conduct solution-based selling by understanding customer workflows, challenges, and value drivers.
· Prepare and deliver technical sales presentations, demos, and ROI discussions in coordination with Application Engineers.
· Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
· Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and deal closing activities in collaboration with Sales Leadership and Legal.
· Represent Hexagon at trade shows, conferences, customer events, and workshops.
· Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Management, Customer Support, and Engineering teams to ensure customer success.
Qualifications
· Minimum 3 years of proven software sales experience
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or applicable experience
· Proven ability to prospect, qualify, and close complex technical sales.
· Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
· Comfortable traveling up to 50% within the assigned region.
· Self-starter with the ability to work independently and remotely
· Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Due to the nature of the role, the candidate must be a US Citizen
Preferences:
· Experience selling engineering or scientific software (CAD, metrology or CAE tools).
· Knowledge of engineering product development and manufacturing processes.
· Understanding and experience developing services engagement.
· Completion of formal sales training program(s) or course(s)
