Summary

Business Development Representative (BDR) 
Department: Production Software - Inside Sales
Fully Remote - US 


The BDR drives outbound prospecting and pipeline generation for Hexagon's Production Software solutions, identifying and qualifying new opportunities within manufacturing, industrial, and enterprise accounts before handing off to Account Executives. 

Job Responsibilities

•    Outbound Prospecting: Research target manufacturing and industrial accounts; engage decision-makers via cold calls, email sequences, and LinkedIn outreach. 
•    Lead Qualification: Evaluate prospects' production environments and operational needs against Hexagon's manufacturing intelligence, quality, and automation software solutions. 
•    Pipeline Building: Book qualified discovery calls and product demos, then transition opportunities to AEs with clean handoff documentation. 
•    Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with marketing on campaign follow-up and with channel/partner teams to surface net-new market opportunities. 
•    CRM Hygiene: Maintain accurate activity and pipeline data in Salesforce. 

Qualifications

•    1–3 years in a BDR/SDR or outbound sales role, B2B SaaS or industrial tech preferred 
•    Strong cold outreach and objection-handling skills 
•    Salesforce experience required and CRM experience
•    Excellent written and verbal communication
