The Director of Sales - Production Machining leads and manages the sales team specializing in a suite of CAM software (ESPRIT, ESPRIT EDGE, EDGECAM, NCSIMUL, Designer) across the United States and Canada. This role involves overseeing sales professionals, developing and implementing effective sales strategies, and driving revenue growth.
Job Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Sales Leadership and Strategy
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets for the mold and die software portfolio.
- Identify new market opportunities through market analysis and customer feedback.
- Monitor and analyze key sales performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Working with Indirect Channel. Not managing the Partner team but will work with Partner Management.
- Team Development and Coaching
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals across North America.
- Foster a high-performance sales culture and support ongoing learning and development.
- Equip the team with tools and knowledge to sell complex software solutions effectively.
- Customer and Stakeholder Management
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, OEMs, and industrial clients.
- Partner with engineering, product, and marketing teams to align go-to-market activities and messaging.
- Collaborate with leadership to influence product roadmap and pricing strategy.
- Operational Execution
- Utilize CRM tools (Salesforce) to forecast accurately and manage pipeline health.
- Implement the Winning Complex Sales (WCS) methodology to drive consultative selling and deal closure.
- Represent Hexagon at industry events and customer engagements to increase brand visibility.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; technical background preferred.
- 7–10 years of sales leadership experience, with a strong focus on CAM software and/or mold and die manufacturing.
- Proven experience managing regional or national sales teams in a high-tech B2B environment.
- Experience working with Indirect Channel Partners
- Demonstrated success in consultative selling methodologies, preferably WCS.
- Proficiency in Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and a drive for excellence.

Work Environment
This is a home office-based position located in the United States.
Travel requirements: up to 50% within North America.
- Regular use of standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
- Frequent communication via phone, video conferencing, and email.
- Occasional onsite visits to customer facilities or Hexagon locations.
- Vision requirements include close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
