Application Specialist – ALPHACAM

Position Overview 

We are seeking a Application Specialist – ALPHACAM to support the growth and adoption of ALPHACAM across Canada. This position will serve as a trusted technical advisor to prospective and existing customers, partners, and internal sales teams by connecting customer manufacturing requirements with effective ALPHACAM solutions. 

The ideal candidate combines strong CAM/CNC manufacturing expertise with excellent customer-facing and presentation skills. You will work closely with the Sales team throughout the pre-sales process, leading technical discovery, delivering tailored software demonstrations, validating solutions, and helping customers understand how ALPHACAM can address real-world manufacturing challenges. 

This is a consultative technical role focused on solution selling and technical enablement rather than transactional sales. 

Job Responsibilities

• Partner with the Sales team throughout the pre-sales cycle, leading technical discovery, delivering customer-specific ALPHACAM demonstrations, developing proof-of-concept solutions, and providing technical validation to help progress qualified sales opportunities. 

• Serve as the technical subject-matter expert for ALPHACAM throughout the pre-sales and customer engagement process. 

• Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer workflows, machinery, production requirements, business objectives, and technical pain points. 

• Deliver engaging and customized ALPHACAM software demonstrations based on customer applications and real-world manufacturing scenarios. 

• Translate customer business and manufacturing requirements into appropriate technical solutions, workflows, and recommendations. 

• Provide technical validation during the sales process and address customer questions related to software functionality, capabilities, integrations, and applications. 

• Develop sample programs, workflows, proofs of concept, and other technical materials to support active sales opportunities. 

• Communicate the technical and business value of ALPHACAM clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. 

• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Services, and Support teams to provide a consistent, solution-focused customer experience. 

• Contribute to technical content, demonstration assets, presentations, and best-practice workflows that strengthen the ALPHACAM sales motion. 

• Support customer and partner presentations, industry events, trade shows, and technical demonstrations as a subject-matter expert. 

• Maintain current knowledge of ALPHACAM capabilities, CAM/CNC technology, manufacturing trends, and competitive solutions. 

• Provide customer and prospect feedback to internal teams to support continuous product and solution improvement. 

• Travel within Canada as required to support customer meetings, demonstrations, events, and sales opportunities. 

   

   

   

  Pre-Sales Success Measures

• Quality and effectiveness of technical discovery and qualification for assigned opportunities. 

• Customer engagement and effectiveness of ALPHACAM demonstrations, proof-of-concept work, and technical presentations. 

• Timely and accurate technical responses that help move qualified opportunities through the sales cycle. 

• Quality of solution recommendations, sample workflows, and technical validation provided to customers and Sales. 

• Contribution to successful customer evaluations, demonstrations, partner enablement, and competitive technical assessments. 

• Effective collaboration with Sales and cross-functional teams to support pipeline progression and customer satisfaction. 

Qualifications

• Direct experience implementing, supporting, demonstrating, or training customers on ALPHACAM. 

• Experience supporting a B2B software sales or pre-sales process. 

• Knowledge of CAD/CAM integrations and manufacturing software ecosystems. 

• Experience creating customer-specific demonstrations, proof-of-concept solutions, or technical presentations. 

• Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and CNC machinery commonly used within ALPHACAM customer environments.
