Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of HR for our operations in Germany, which is a key hub within the EMEA region. This leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to drive HR initiatives and transformations, ensuring alignment with business objectives while optimizing operations and fostering a culture of excellence. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in HR within complex organizations, particularly in matrix structures, with a strong focus on Business Partnering, Operations, and team restructuring.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead HR operations across Germany, the most significant market within the EMEA region, ensuring alignment with global HR strategies.
- Oversee the restructuring and optimization of the HR team to drive operational efficiency, strategic alignment, and enhanced collaboration.
- Drive the harmonization process within the HR function, ensuring consistency in policies, practices, and processes.
- Partner with the leadership team to support and guide the HR transformation process, focusing on continuous improvement.
- Leverage extensive experience in matrix organizations to foster collaboration and influence across multiple teams and levels of the organization.
- Manage Workers Council, overseeing and mentoring a newly appointed specialist to ensure effective labor relations management.
- Optimize HR structures and processes, with an emphasis on delivering operational excellence and supporting business growth.
- Work closely with CoEs (Centers of Excellence) and SCCs (Shared Services Centers) to drive alignment and ensure the effective delivery of HR services.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, with a focus on Business Partnering and Operations within complex, matrix organizations.
- Strong background in HR management within large, diverse organizations, ideally with experience in companies operating with CoEs and SCCs.
- Solid understanding of Workers Council relations, with the ability to navigate and manage labor relations in Germany.
- Previous experience in HR team restructuring is highly desirable, with a track record of driving organizational change and enhancing team performance.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS
- Native German and fluent English (written and spoken) are essential
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence senior stakeholders, and drive change across diverse teams.
