Summary
The HR Leader EMEA & HR Business Partner (Germany/DACH) serves as the senior HR leader for the Portable Metrology division across EMEA for approximately 300 employees, while also acting as the primary HR Business Partner for approximately 70 employees in Germany and the DACH region.
This dual-role position combines regional HR leadership with hands-on HR execution, requiring both strategic influence and deep operational expertise.
Reporting to the Vice President EMEA, this role is a key member of the regional leadership team and works closely with global HR teams, Centres of Excellence, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
Regional HR Leadership
- Lead and deliver the people strategy across EMEA aligned with global and divisional priorities
- Act as a trusted advisor to regional business leaders on performance, engagement, and organisational effectiveness
- Provide guidance on employee relations, compliance, and workforce management across multiple jurisdictions
- Ensure consistent yet locally relevant implementation of HR policies and programs across countries
HR Business Partner - DACH
- Act as the primary HRBP for Germany, supporting approximately 70 employees and partnering closely with local leadership
- Provide expert guidance on German labour law, employee relations, and works council interactions
- Manage complex employee relations cases and partner with legal and compliance stakeholders
- Deliver core HR processes including performance management, compensation cycles, and talent reviews
- Coordinate HR activities across DACH in collaboration with Austria and Switzerland HR teams
Business Partnership & Execution
- Translate business strategy into actionable people plans across both regional and local levels
- Support organisational design, workforce planning, and restructuring initiatives
- Drive execution of HR processes including talent reviews, succession planning, and engagement initiatives
- Use data and insights to inform decision-making and improve organisational outcomes
Talent & Leadership Development
- Support succession planning and talent development across EMEA
- Coach and develop leaders to strengthen leadership capability across the region
- Partner with Centres of Excellence to deliver leadership and talent initiatives
Organisational Effectiveness & Transformation
- Lead and support transformation, restructuring, and change initiatives across EMEA and locally in Germany
- Drive organisational effectiveness through structure, capability, and ways of working improvements
- Ensure strong communication and stakeholder engagement to embed change
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Partner with global HR teams (HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards) to deliver integrated HR solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Finance, Marketing, and Strategy & Operations
- Build strong relationships across a matrix, international organisation
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- HR leadership experience, including HR Business Partner roles in Germany
- Strong knowledge of German labour law and works council processes
- Experience supporting regional or international organisations (EMEA preferred)
- Experience managing complex employee relations cases
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a matrix organisation
- Fluency in German and English

- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or technology environments
- Experience leading HR transformation or organisational change initiatives
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities
