Summary
The Finance Director will provide strategic leadership to the finance function, ensuring the high standards of reporting, compliance, and financial best practice.
As a key member of the EMEA management team, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the medium to long-term strategic agenda, contributing to the development of both financial and broader business strategies. This individual will act as a trusted adviser to the EMEA Vice President, offering credible financial leadership and commercially insightful analysis to support critical decision-making and drive business performance.
The Finance Director will challenge plans and assumptions in a confident manner, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, while also nurturing a culture of collaboration across the organisation.
Specific responsibilities include leading all aspects of financial planning, analysis, and control, overseeing the budget and forecast processes, and managing relationships with external advisers to ensure full regulatory compliance. Additionally, the Finance Director will play a key role in the financial evaluation and oversight of major projects, and will be responsible for building and developing a high performing inance team to support the ongoing growth and development of the business.
Job Responsibilities
- Drive commercial goals through pro-active decision making across the region
- Ensure the EMEA finance team prepare accurate and timely reporting of the various country entities to meet Hexagon’s monthly deadlines.
- Review and analyse the performance of the EMEA sub-regional businesses and provide this detailed analysis to the EMEA Vice President on a timely basis including during quarterly presentations.
- Work closely with the management teams to: o prepare regular business forecasts to meet Hexagon’s deadlines. o assist them on commercial deals and strategy as required to maximise orders and shipments.
- Work with legal as needed on compliance and contractual negotiations.
- Prepare and execute operational efficiency and cost saving proposals.
- Work with the finance teams across EMEA and beyond to share best practices and improve processes.
- Production of ad-hoc reports / analysis as requested.
- Partner with business leaders on investment cases, IP acquisitions, and monetisation.
- Oversee internal controls, cash management, and finance operations across EMEA
- Implement scalable systems, processes, and automation to support growth.
- Provide clear, commercial insight and board-level reporting.
Qualifications
- Strong FP&A and commercial finance expertise with strategic depth.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
- At least years 3 year of experience of leading finance teams in mid-size to large organisations.
- Experience in operating in a decentralized global company before and comfortable to establish, build and create a new structure in the face of ambiguity
- Experience of business partnering and commercial analysis.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexibly to meet tight month and year end deadlines
- Strong communication skills to be able to establish effective working relationships with finance and commercial team
