Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Platform Specialist to join our Data & Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with modern Data Warehousing and BI principles using Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI technologies. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable analytics solutions that transform business data into actionable insights.

The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise with a proactive, problem-solving mindset and excellent communication skills. They will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, developers, and analytics teams to deliver high-quality data products and reporting solutions. The role also requires the ability to effectively leverage AI technologies and provide high-quality prompts and instructions to accelerate development and improve productivity.

Job Responsibilities

• Data Platform Development
  • Design, develop, and maintain analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
  • Build and optimize data pipelines, PySpark notebooks, dataflows, Lakehouses, Warehouses, and Semantic Models within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
  • Support the implementation of enterprise-grade data platforms following best practices for scalability, performance, security, and governance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex data integration and reporting issues.
•  Data Warehousing & Data Modeling
  • Design and implement robust dimensional and relational data models.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise Data Warehouse solutions, following best practices of a medallion architecture approach.
  • Apply best practices for fact and dimension modeling, star schemas, normalization, and denormalization techniques.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance across analytical environments.
•  Power BI Development
  • Design and develop Power BI semantic models that support business reporting requirements.
  • Create efficient DAX measures, calculations, and business logic.
  • Develop intuitive, user-friendly dashboards and reports that drive business insights.
  • Optimize report performance and ensure adherence to visualization best practices.
  • Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into meaningful analytics solutions.
• AI & Innovation
  • Leverage AI tools and technologies to improve development efficiency and solution quality.
  • Create clear, structured, and effective AI prompts and instructions to support development activities.
  • Evaluate emerging AI and data technologies and recommend opportunities for adoption.
  • Promote best practices for AI-assisted development within the team.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical guidance.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Participate in project planning, estimation, and solution design activities.
  • Contribute to documentation, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in BI & Analytics roles.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI development; experience with Microsoft Fabric is a strong advantage.
• Strong experience designing and implementing Data Warehouse solutions.
• Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling, star schemas, fact and dimension design.
• Advanced Power BI skills, including: Semantic Models, DAX, Power Query, Performance optimization, Security models and Row-Level Security (RLS)
• Experience with SQL and PySpark for data transformation techniques.
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and reporting best practices.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Data Platform technologies.
• Knowledge of Medallion architectures and modern data platform concepts.
• Experience with CI/CD practices, source control, and deployment pipelines.
• Familiarity with Python, Spark, or other data engineering technologies.
• Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure, or related certifications.
