Senior PreSales Engineer (f/m/d) (FEA)

Summary

As an FEA (Finite Element Analysis) Senior Pre-Sales Engineer, you will play a key role in the technical sales process by demonstrating the value of simulation solutions to prospective and existing customers. You will work closely with the sales, technical, and product teams to understand customer challenges and showcase how our FEA software can enhance their engineering and design workflows.

Job Responsibilities

  • Senior Technical Pre-Sales Support – Work with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide tailored FEA solutions.
  • Product Demonstrations – Conduct live demonstrations, webinars, and proof-of-concept studies to showcase software capabilities.
  • Customer Engagement – Act as a trusted advisor, guiding prospects and customers on best practices for using FEA tools.
  • Benchmarking & Validation – Set up and run simulation benchmarks to prove software performance.
  • Training & Support – Assist in customer onboarding by providing training and technical guidance.
  • Proposal & Documentation – Support sales with technical documentation, white papers, and case studies.
  • Collaboration – Work with product development and marketing teams to align technical messaging with industry needs.
  • Post-sales and services – Where needed because of skills or bandwidth, get involved in post-sales and services activities 
     

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with FEA software (e.g., MSC Nastran, Marc Abaqus, Ansys, HyperWorks, or similar), knowledge of other topics such as fatigue, material modelling, acoustics, CFD and/or multibody dynamics is an advantage.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, or related industries is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to present complex technical concepts to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to help customers optimize their simulation workflows.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Passion for helping customers achieve their engineering goals using simulation.
  • Willingness to Travel: Ability to travel occasionally for customer meetings, trade shows, and training sessions.
