Short Description
As a Senior Salesforce Developer (f/m/d), you will work with an international team based in Barcelona to design, develop, and enhance Salesforce solutions supporting Waygate Technologies as part of its integration into Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Salesforce solutions that support customer, sales, and service processes, while contributing to the successful integration of Waygate systems into Hexagon's target architecture. Working closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and cross-functional IT teams, you will deliver high-quality technical solutions, support system integrations, and contribute to the continuous evolution of the Salesforce platform.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and SOQL/SOSL
- Build and optimize declarative solutions (Flows, Process Builder migration to Flow, validation rules, Page Layouts) alongside custom code
- Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and external systems (ERP, CPQ, middleware) via REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, and middleware tools (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, etc.)
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical designs; produce technical specifications and architecture diagrams
- Own data model design, including custom objects, relationships, and record-level security (sharing rules, profiles, permission sets)
- Write and maintain Apex unit tests to meet coverage requirements and ensure code quality/performance
- Manage deployments through CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Salesforce DX, Gearset, Copado, Jenkins) across sandboxes and production
- Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior/mid-level developers
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, governor limit conflicts, and technical debt in existing orgs
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives) and collaborate closely with admins, architects, QA, and business analysts
- Support release management and change control processes, particularly in multi-org or M&A-driven environments where org consolidation/data migration is involved
- Stay current on Salesforce platform updates (seasonal releases) and evaluate their impact on existing implementations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 6 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, including at least 3-4 years with Lightning Web Components
- Strong proficiency in Apex, LWC, JavaScript, SOQL/SOSL, and Salesforce data modeling
- Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems (ERP, CPQ, CRM add-ons) via APIs and middleware
- Solid understanding of Salesforce security model (sharing rules, roles, profiles, permission sets, field-level security)
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD deployment tools
- Familiarity with Salesforce Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud configuration
- Certifications: Platform Developer I required; Platform Developer II and/or Platform App Builder strongly preferred
- Experience in complex, multi-system, or multi-org landscapes (e.g., M&A-driven consolidations) is a plus
- Strong communication skills; able to work directly with business stakeholders and translate needs into technical solutions
