Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division is seeking Application Engineer Interns for Summer 2027. This internship is designed for students pursuing a degree in engineering who expect to graduate in December 2027 or May/June 2028. Successful interns will gain hands-on experience in technical customer support, software applications, and product demonstrations, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time Application Engineer role after graduation.

What You'll Do

Actively pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Industrial Engineering, or related field of study.
Expected graduation date: December 2027 or May/June 2028.
Demonstrated interest in engineering metrology and manufacturing technologies.
Foundational knowledge of CAD/CAM tools, programming, or data analysis.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team setting.
Curiosity and problem-solving mindset with a drive to learn.

Qualifications

Work Environment

Primarily office-based with opportunities to visit customers or demo sites.
Regular use of computer equipment; occasional movement around labs or factory floor.
May involve light lifting (up to 15 lbs) of equipment or demonstration tools.
Team-oriented environment with collaborative problem-solving and technical engagement.
