Position Overview
We’re looking for an ALPHACAM Technical Specialist to support and grow ALPHACAM adoption across Canada by acting as a trusted technical advisor to manufacturers, partners, and internal teams.
Success in this position comes from your ability to understand complex manufacturing workflows, translate technical needs into effective solutions, and demonstrate how ALPHACAM solves real production challenges. You’ll support sales conversations through expertise, helping clients make confident, informed decisions.
You’ll play a key role in pre-sales technical discovery, software demonstrations, solution design, and ongoing enablement, while collaborating closely with sales, marketing, and support teams.
Job Responsibilities
Act as the technical authority for ALPHACAM, supporting prospects, clients, and internal teams
Lead technical discovery conversations to understand customer workflows, machinery, and production goals
Deliver in-depth software demonstrations tailored to real-world manufacturing scenarios
Support sales initiatives by providing technical validation, not transactional selling
Contribute to technical content, demo assets, and best-practice workflows
Collaborate with marketing and sales to shape solution-focused messaging and positioning
Represent Planit Canada at industry events, demos, and partner meetings as a subject-matter expert
Stay current on ALPHACAM capabilities, industry trends, and manufacturing technology

Qualifications
(Knowledge, Experience, and Education)
- Strong experience with CAM software and CNC machining processes.
- Background in wood, metal, or stone manufacturing industries.
- Confident communicator with experience in client-facing roles (sales support, demos, consulting, etc.).
- Ability to present technical solutions in a clear, engaging manner.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely with a high degree of autonomy.
- Willingness and ability to travel across Canada (up to 5 days per month)
